MTBox NK release 1.18:

New Features:

* VPP use for BB5 phones.
This version will use VPP when flashing BB5 phones.
On 6270 this will improve flashing time with around 1 minute.

Note: since some of JAF/UFS... cables on the market has wrong VPP connection in the cable,
using VPP could cause fail in flashing operation. To protect clients this setup will disable
use of VPP (DisableVPP) by default, if you wish to use VPP, unchecked DisableVPP. If you experience
problems when flashing with VPP, then most probably you cable has wrong VPP.

* Online news checking. Download latest news for software updates, and new release from griffinteam.
Uses HTTP connection. News is shown in new tab in exe. You could disable the option if you don't like it.
Double click on news open the ***ociated link.
Single click shows description of the news.
Automatic Check : Exe will check for news ever time it is started.
Check for news Now: download and display news now.


Bug fixes:
* Corrected high voltage after flashing DCT3 PHONES.

MTB_NK release 1.19

New Features: Warranty Information edit. We have added new panel to the EXTRAS list. It will let you edit the warranty information of Nokia phones.
Added version information for new BB5 phones. The version is shown before ProductCode in Pcode combo box. This is releated to 6270, 6280, 7370.... and similar models

Bugfixes:
Increased wait time for full factory set , so old WD2 phones succeed in After flash Procedures.
Fixed phone flashing for 3250.

NOTE: - there is some problem with FlashLoadesr 6.05.003, so don't use those, use the ones provided with version 1.18 ( 5.51.007).

for 3250 flashing, it is strongly recommened to use VPP ( will improve flashing time with 4 minutes and 30 secondes). Note that some of the cables on the marked could have VPP , so take care to correct it before you use it.

See 3250 pinout for more details.

3250 has ContentFlash, but the content doesn't need to be extracted, so we have addeed another 'Automatic Action while flashing.' it is “Skip CP Extract”.
Check it when flashing 3250 in order to save time.

Bug fixes:
Ask read for Asic 7 dct4 phones. Note that for this type IMEI is not read from UEM so you have to enter IMEI value manually.


Notes:
(n1) for BB5 PageSize for content is retrieved in FBUS mode... so if flashing only content, make sure phone is powered ON before you press flash.
(n2) To automatically LogIn the torrent server, double click on one of the files listed in 'Online news update'.Box will open WebBrowser and authorize automatically. No need to enter user name and p***.
(n3) Because products list is very long and it is hard to search, we've added Text search option. Type in the text that is contained in product description and press enter. For example if you want to select product code '0522840 - QB EURO-K DARK BROWN RUSSIA' you can type 0500840 and press Enter. Or type 'russia' and press enter.
(n4) To be able to use auto power in LOCAL MODE BB5 phones BSI resistor must be changed. Change resistor from 3.3K to 5.1K.With old cables which have 3.3K phone will power in Normal mode.

MTB_NK 1.21 Released.

New in this version:

-Revised algorithm for flashing BB5 phones with ( rap3 + ape processors).
-Flashing time is significantly improved.
-All BB5 phones currently on market are fully supported ( with latest FIA 6.14.010).
-Changed post flash procedure so FullFactory Set is executed faster on phones like 6270/6280.
-Added information for erase while flashing BB5 phones.
-Added Recognition whether VPP pin is connected correctly to phone. ( see note 1, for more information. )

Notes:

VPP pin recognition: You need to do a small modification on your 8to10 pin converter.
See 'VPP_PIN_RECOGN.pdf' for details on the modification.
After that when using 8pin cables MTBox will be able to measure the voltage on VPP pin. So when you press 'Phone Info' and the phone is connected through the converter MTBox will measure and try to detect if VPP is connected to correct pin. If it's not, WARNING text will be displayed and VPP will be automatically disabled. Vpp is also measured while flashing. To see current reading of VPP pin use ( boot information button ).

* support product profile tunning ( ProductProfile in 'Automatic actions')
* added “Force ContentConvertion to 128” ( in AutomaticActions) - for faster repair of damaged 6280 phones for example.

N80 – bugfix to automatically select file for userdisk flashing.

In PhoneInfo:
added code to properly display ESN when CDMA phone is attached to box.

** MT-box NK updates history** 04-08-2006 - MTB_NK_v1.23.exe Setup**
BugFixes:

Bugfixed reading of large PM files - filed larger then 4K. Such as 134:01


New Features:
Added support for USB flashing of 'Single ASIC BB5' phones. Tested successfully on 3250, 6131/6133,6270, 6234. Known not to work on 6280( we think it is nokia bug).

How to flash over USB: In the top-right section of MTB_NK interface, next to PhoneMode combo, is a button saying USB. When this button is in down position, MTB will use the USB cable to communicate to phones (serial), and flash them.

MTB supports both DeadPhoneFlashing( USB_BOOT_ROM) and ADL flashing. If conversion to 128K page size is needed MTB will do it automatically.


Warning: if flashing fails, or you downgrade phone, it is very likely that you will not be able to repair phone with USB flashing. You will need to flash it over FBUS.
